Joe Wilkins

"Joe Wilkins has a big, true, highway-running American voice. When you see a new book of his, you should celebrate. Just buy it, put down the window, and let the music blow back your hair. It's nothing but alive." – Luis Alberto Urrea

Poem at About Place

About Place

My poem “The Fragments of the World Seek Each Other” is up at About Place, the literary journal of the Black Earth Institute. This issue, The Future of Water, was guest-edited by the amazing Debra Marquart; I’m excited to dig in and read!

Beautiful poem. An old friend who has been gone for many years would have loved it, because it perfectly describes him out on a river fishing, totally lost in the experience.

So glad the poem reminded you of your friend!
