Joe, you created a story of unexpected connections by ironically using ten “disconnected” souls. That Ten Boys in All takes place at, in, and around a lake adds to the impact I experienced—I read it in Sun Magazine while basking in the sun on Lake Hayden. Brilliant and heart rending.
Your workshop at Get Lit, Spokane 2013, stays with me; you accomplished a great deal in a short amount of time with your attendees, a diverse group of published, or would-be, or wanna-be poets.
